Job summary

Culina is seeking a dedicated Line Operator for its Chilled & Fresh division in the UK. You will work on manual and automated lines to meet planned volume and targets, while complying with QA and safety standards.

You will follow Safe Systems of Work, report hazards and faulty equipment, check product quality and packaging, ensure correct pallet layouts, and keep the line tidy. Basic IT skills and attention to detail are essential in this fast-paced role.

Qualifications

• Food manufacturing/packaging background is essential for this role.
• Ability to work within a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety obligations, although training will be provided.
• Basic IT skills for using the integrated management system.
• Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Follow Safe Systems of Work and procedures.
• Report near miss incidents, hazards or defective equipment.
• Report accidents and support investigations.
• Adhere to all Quality procedures.
• Report faults in packed product and issues.
• Check products and ensure the right quality is packed.
• Check dates on incoming products for the Line Leaders.
• Ensure pallet layout is correct.
• Keep the line tidy – it keeps it safer and protects the product from contamination.
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures.
• Work at the required rate to achieve the line target; timekeeping at shift starts and breaks.
• Work on your line area.

Job Description

Working on a variety of manual/automated lines to meet planned volume and commercial targets, and in accordance with QA and safety standards.

Key Accountabilities

• Following all Safe Systems of Work and procedures
• Reporting any near miss incidents, hazards or defective equipment at any time
• Reporting any accidents and supporting investigations
• Adhering to all Quality procedures
• Reporting to Line Leader any faults in packed product e.g. poor seals coding difficult to read or missing
• Checking products and ensuring the right quality is packed
• Checking dates on incoming products for the Line Leaders
• Ensuring pallet layout is correct
• Keeping the line tidy – it keeps it safer and protects the product from foreign matter contamination
• Following personal hygiene rules e.g. hand washing and not taking loose items into the factory
• Following all Standard Operating Procedures
• Working at the required rate to achieve the line targetKeeping time is expected at shift starts and breaks
• Working on your line area
