Job summary

Contract Personnel Ltd is recruiting for a well-established plastic packaging manufacturer in the United Kingdom. You will help pack, label and inspect products, maintain hygiene and safety standards, and support training as you progress through grades.

The role offers full training, a 3-shift pattern, and a temporary-to-permanent opportunity with weekly pay. 28 holiday days for full-time workers and a friendly, supportive environment are provided.

Job description

Contract Personnel are recruiting for a well-established manufacturer of plastic packaging, supplying a range of industries and well-known brands. The company is recognised for its quality, service and innovation.

Working as part of a small team, you will help maintain high standards of product quality, cleanliness and safety while packing, labelling and recording products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Pack, label and inspect products to required standards.
• Complete accurate product records and documentation.
• Maintain quality, hygiene and health & safety standards.
• Follow operating procedures at all times.
• Respond to machine alarms and carry out colour changes.
• Complete machine and equipment clean-downs.
• Progress through grades and take on additional responsibilities.
• Assist with training once experienced.
• Full training provided.

Experience/skills required:

• Good numeracy and attention to detail.
• Reliable with excellent timekeeping.
• Accurate record keeping skills.

Shift pattern:

• 7.5 hours per day, 37.5 hours per week
• Monday to Friday
• 3-shift rotating pattern, (06:00am to 14:00pm, 22:00pm to 06:00am and 14:00pm to 22:00pm (1/2-hour unpaid break per shift)
• Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required depending on the needs of the company.
