Job summary

JDR Recruitment is working with a well respected Newport, Wales manufacturing business to recruit Machine Operators on a temp-to-perm basis. You will inspect and package plastic goods, with a high level of concentration to monitor quality and faults.

Some lines may be semi-automatic, and you will handle pallets, wrap and move them, while maintaining a clean workstation and following health and safety policies. Shifts are 4 on/4 off, 6am–6pm or 6pm–6am, 12-hour shifts with paid breaks.

Responsibilities

• Inspection and packaging of various plastic goods
• High level of concentration to ensure consistency and fault monitoring
• Operate machines on a semi-automatic basis if required
• Manual handling including stacking pallets, wrapping and moving pallets on pallet trolleys
• General cleaning around workstation
• Some products may require the use of a cleaning solvent to clean mouldings
• Responsible to fulfil and comply with company health and safety policies
• Responsible for running more than one machine (when trained)

• £12.71ph
• £55.50 Attendance Allowance (if all hours worked in one week)
• 4 on/4off (6am - 6pm / 6pm - 6am) 2 days, 2 nights
• 12 Hour Shifts with Paid Breaks
