Job summary

IPS, part of the Culina Group, is recruiting a Production Line Leader for our Saint Helens site. In a fast-moving co-packing and manufacturing operation, you will drive performance, lead a shift-based team, and ensure quality and safety standards are upheld.

The role operates on a rotating 3-shift pattern (6am–2pm, 2pm–10pm, 10pm–6am) Monday to Friday, with accountability for KPIs, productivity, and continuous improvement across the line.

Qualifications

• Experience in fast-paced production/manufacturing environments.
• Proven ability to motivate, coach, and develop a team to meet targets.
• Self-motivated and results-driven with ownership mindset.
• Solid understanding of production machinery and processes.
• Strong attention to paperwork, stock accuracy and shift handovers.
• Clear and confident communication across levels.
• Proactive in continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Set up the production line each shift, performing startup and safety checks.
• Lead, motivate and support the team to hit production targets.
• Train teammates and build capability on the line.
• Ensure finished products meet client specs and quality expectations.
• Monitor KPIs (output, downtime, waste) and drive efficiency.
• Drive productivity to deliver production plans in full.
• Champion health, safety, hygiene and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate paperwork and systems per procedures.
• Keep areas audit-ready and compliant with hygiene standards.
