Job summary

Barker Ross is recruiting a Line Leader for a fast-paced co-pack operation in Coalville. This role leads a motivated production team, ensuring safety, quality and efficiency while meeting daily targets.

The position offers long-term stability with a clear path to permanent status, with two shift options and a starting pay ranging from £12.71 to £14.71 per hour, plus a first two weeks ramp. Onsite parking available.

Qualifications

• Experience in production or manufacturing (food production preferred).
• Supervisory or team-leading experience is a plus.
• Strong communication and motivational skills.
• Proactive, "can-do" attitude with a hands-on approach.
• Basic IT skills and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and support a team of production operatives.
• Drive production to meet targets and product specifications.
• Maintain health, safety, hygiene, and quality compliance.
• Complete accurate paperwork and use IT/WMS.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Training and developing new team members.
• Act as a role model on the shop floor.
• Work hands-on alongside your team when needed.
• Assist with general production duties.

This is a temp to Perm position for the right candidate.

Pay & Shift:

• First 2 weeks are paid at £12.71 p/h then is increased £14.71 p/h when the line leader training begins
• AM shift 06:00 - 14:00
• PM shift 14:00 - 22:00

About the Role

As a Line Leader, you will oversee your production line, ensuring daily targets are met while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading, motivating, and supporting a team of production operatives
• Driving production to meet targets and product specifications
• Maintaining health, safety, hygiene, and quality compliance
• Completing accurate paperwork and using IT/Warehouse Management Systems
• Supporting internal and external audits
• Training and developing new team members
• Acting as a role model on the shop floor
• Working hands-on alongside your team when needed
• Assisting with general production duties
