Job summary

Major Recruitment Telford is hiring a Line Leader to join a food production site at Stafford Park. The role is full-time, Monday to Friday with weekly rotational day shifts from 06:00–14:00 and 14:00–22:00, paying £14.45 per hour. It is a temporary to permanent position.

The successful candidate will oversee a team, operate production lines, input data into the SAGE system, and ensure quality and packaging standards are met in line with customer specifications.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a food production environment.
• Experience as a packing, production or quality operative.
• Experience in a team leader or supervisor role.
• Flexibility to work rotational shifts.
• Ability to work well in a team and on own initiative.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing a group of colleagues on the line.
• Operate machines and ensure smooth production flow.
• Input production information into the SAGE system.
• Grade and sort products according to spec.
• Carry out quality inspections and ensure targets are met.
• Pack products into appropriate bags and boxes.

Job description

We are currently recruiting for a Line Leader to work fulltime Monday to Friday, on weekly rotational day shifts of 06:00 - 14:00 and 14:00 - 22:00, at an established food production company on Stafford Park. This Line Leader position offers a pay rate of £14.45 per hour, this is a temporary to permanent role.

Responsibilities of a Line Leader:

• Overseeing a group of colleagues
• Repeatedly lifting products up to a maximum of 25kg
• Operating machines
• Inputting production information into a SAGE system
• Grading and Sorting products correctly
• Carrying out quality inspections
• Packaging products into relevant bags and boxes
• Working to a customer specification
• Ensuring all production and personal targets are met

Requirements for a Line Leader:

• Previous experience within a food production company
• Experience as a packing, production or quality operative
• Experience in a team leader or supervisor position
• Flexibility to work a rotational shift pattern
• Ability to work as a team and individually
