Job summary

Alto Lounge in Reading, part of Loungers plc, is looking for experienced Chefs to join our kitchen team. Earn up to £12.71/hr plus tips, with paid breaks, staff meals, and 50% off food and drinks from day one.

This role supports the Head Chef and offers a flexible, part-time or full-time arrangement with evening and weekend work. You’ll help cook fresh dishes, maintain standards, and work closely with FOH to ensure a great guest experience.

Qualifications

• Passion for real cooking and quality food.
• Reliable team player with good communication.
• Energetic, fast-paced with a positive attitude.
• Experience in high-volume kitchen (Grill/Line/Chef de Partie).

Responsibilities

• Cook fresh food to spec; from tapas dishes, to all day Lounge breakfasts.
• Support the Head Chef with prep, service, and standards.
• Keep the kitchen clean, safe, and fully prepped.
• Follow food safety & allergen processes at all times.
• Work as one team with FOH to deliver a great experience.
