Quest Employment in the Watford area is seeking a Line Chef to join a busy, high-performing food production team near Hemel Hempstead. The role involves preparing high-quality dishes and supporting a kitchen that prioritises local, seasonal ingredients.

Salary: £29,000 £32,000 per annum (Depending on Experience)

Hours: 5 days over 7 days a week shift rotation (Shifts: 6:00 AM 2:00 PM)

The Opportunity

Catering across a dynamic range of operationsfrom large-scale banqueting and outdoor barbecues to fine dining and traditional café servicethe kitchen focuses on local, seasonal, and sustainable nose-to-tail produce. Operating in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, this role is perfect for a passionate chef looking to refine their skills and progress within a supportive culinary team.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and produce high-quality dishes, including accommodating specific dietary requirements.

• Maintain strict quality control on all food items regarding both presentation and execution.

• Communicate clearly and effectively with the Front of House team to ensure seamless service delivery.

• Uphold exceptional standards of food hygiene, station cleanliness, and safety regulations.

Candidate Profile

• Previous experience in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.

• Strong team-player mentality with clear communication skills.

• High level of hygiene, cleanliness, and attention to detail.

• Flexibility to cover early morning shifts starting from 6:00 AM across a 7-day rota.

• Must be a car driver with full access to private transport (due to the remote location near Hemel Hempstead and early 6:00 AM start times, public transport is unavailable).
