Role Overview

As a LightingTechnician, you will be at the heart of ensuring our equipment is inpeak condition and ready for use by our clients, who rely on ourmeticulous standards. You’ll be responsible for the preparation,maintenance, and quality control of lighting equipment, ensuring thatour clients’ shoots run seamlessly. This role operates on ashift-based schedule, including early and late shifts and rotatingweekend duties. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detailand be able to work quickly and efficiently. You must be comfortableworking in a fast-paced environment and be able to lift and move heavyitems. Working closely with our warehouse, transport, rental desk andstudio teams, you’ll be a crucial part of delivering the excellenceour clients expect.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and prepare an extensive inventory ofphotographic stills, motion, and production equipment, including flashand continuous lighting gear, grip, and cabling before and afterrental.
  • Conduct detailed quality control checks on allequipment, identifying and troubleshooting any issues.
  • Oversee the efficient turnaround of equipment between hires,ensuring quick and accurate checks after equipment returns.
  • Manage stock levels and report any shortfalls or equipmentfaults to ensure availability for future projects.
  • Providetechnical support to clients remotely and on-site at our studios,ensuring they have a smooth experience with our equipment.
  • Collaborate with all departments to maintain a seamlessworkflow during busy production schedules.
  • Maintain thewarehouse as directed by the warehouse manager.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Excellentcommunication skills, able to work well with clients and team membersalike.
  • A proactive, collaborative mindset, ready tocontribute to a dynamic team environment.
  • Strong attentionto detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity withsystems like ARRI, Profoto, Aputure, Nanlux and Broncolor.
  • Advanced equipment diagnostics and repair capabilities.
  • Experience with asset management software like Insphire.
  • Knowledge of electrical safety and wiring related to lightingsystems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and maintain lightingequipment.

Preferred Experience:

  • 2+ years in the film, photography, or eventproduction industries.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant fieldsuch as photography or film is preferred.

Salary : £27,500 per year.
