Job summary

Disney Cruise Line - The Walt Disney Company is seeking Lighting Technical Directors to deliver high-quality CG lighting and rendering for a variety of shots and pipelines. You will design lighting and the overall look of CG scenes, and oversee final scene assembly and render quality in collaboration with Lighting and CG Supervisors.

Candidates should have advanced lighting and rendering experience in a VFX environment, familiarity with look dev tasks, and strong scripting skills (Python/MEL).

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in lighting and rendering for VFX pipelines.
• Experience performing shot look development tasks.
• Strong communication skills and ability to take direction.

Responsibilities

• Design and create lighting and the look of CG objects and scenes.
• Responsible for final CG scene assembly, lighting and rendering of complex shots.
• Collaborate with Lighting Supervisors and CG Supervisors to define the approach and final look.
• Create lighting setups and optimize render farm usage with efficient setups.
• Maintain and enhance lighting workflows across diverse projects.
