Job summary

Encore’s Lighting Systems Designer in Uxbridge, London, will design event lighting systems, ensuring safety, performance, and commercial viability while aligning with Encore standards. The role involves office work with occasional site visits to support operations.

You will work within a four-person Systems Designer group, collaborating with project managers, venue staff, and procurement to deliver drawings, BOMs and designs using Vectorworks and ConnectCAD.

Qualifications

• In depth knowledge and demonstrable experience in related field.
• Extensive on-site experience within the live events sector.
• Proficiency with Vectorworks and ConnectCAD.
• 2+ years CAD software experience preferred.
• Client relationship experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft 365 & office tools.
• Will be required to work at Encore offices and other sites.
• Strong systems thinking skills, excellent communication and organisation.
• Works well under pressure and multi-tasking ability.
• Proficient problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate temporary event and live production requirements and design solutions per Encore guidelines.
• Create detailed drawings, schematics, renderings, access plans, BOMs and scopes of work using CAD tools.
• Support Project Managers and teams by iterating designs to match budget, inventory and kit allocation.
• Maintain high standards of design, documentation and planning within the department.
• Assist Labour Resource Managers to identify required skills for delivery.
