Job summary

Encore Global is seeking a Lighting Systems Designer in Uxbridge to design event lighting systems within Encore standards. The role blends office work with site visits to support delivery, budgeting, and equipment allocation.

The designer will specialise in one discipline and collaborate with a four-person team under the Technical Manager, contributing to design documentation and continuous improvement of standards.

Qualifications

• In depth knowledge and demonstrable experience in related field.
• Extensive on-site experience within live events and related technologies.
• Proficiency with Vectorworks and ConnectCAD.
• 2+ years CAD software experience preferred.
• Client relationships and strong communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft 365 and office tools.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate event requirements and create safe, functional designs within Encore standards.
• Produce detailed drawings, schematics, renderings, access plans and BOMs.
• Support project managers and teams, aligning designs with budget and inventory.
• Maintain high standards of design, planning and kit allocation.
• Identify skills required to deliver and operate designed systems.
