Job summary

Encore's Lighting Systems Designer role based in Uxbridge, London, combines office design work with site visits to support temporary events and live productions. You will create detailed drawings, BOMs, and layouts using Vectorworks and ConnectCAD while ensuring designs meet safety, standards and budget constraints.

You will collaborate with Project Managers and operations teams, maintaining high design quality and providing expert technical guidance across Audio, Lighting, Rigging, and Video

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge and demonstrable experience in the related field.
• Extensive on-site experience in the live events sector.
• Proficient with Vectorworks and ConnectCAD.
• 2+ years CAD experience preferred.
• Client relationship experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft 365 and office tools.
• Will work at Encore offices and other sites.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Works well under pressure and multi tasking.
• Proficient problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate temporary event and live production requirements and design compliant solutions.
• Create detailed drawings, schematics, renderings, BOMs and scopes using CAD, Vectorworks, ConnectCAD.
• Support project teams by aligning designs with budget, inventory and kit allocation.
• Maintain high standards of design, documentation and planning within the department.
• Identify required skills with Labour Resource Managers to deliver the designs.
