Job summary

Christie Lites is seeking a Repair Technician to service CL rental equipment to the company’s standards. You will diagnose and fix electrical/mechanical faults in lighting, control, and FX gear, and upgrade equipment as needed. Maintain documentation, manage parts orders, and perform preventative maintenance.

You will keep a clean, organized workspace, support stock control, and report low supplies to the Department Head. 40 hours/week with overtime pay applies.

Qualifications

• Diagnose and repair CL rental equipment to Christie Lites standards.
• Ability to repair electrical and mechanical faults in Lighting, Control and FX gear.
• Record repairs in Repair Tracking Systems and order parts as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and manage stock levels.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses and fixes issues with CL rental equipment by repairing electrical and/or mechanical faults in Lighting, Control and Special FX products including ancillary equipment such as main distribution and networking.
• Limiting the electronic repairs to circuit board level and upgrading equipment to CL standards as specified.
• Recording all repairs in Repair Tracking Systems and placing Parts orders when not in stock.
• Carrying out preventative maintenance as outlined in the Service Reference Guide.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools are stored and equipment is organized.
• Informing Department Head of low stocks of supplies.
