Job summary

YGC PARTNERS LIMITED is seeking a Light Trail Supervisor for our festive light trail at Mission Out, Tingley Garden Centre. You will lead the seasonal team, ensuring a warm welcome and smooth operation during evening sessions in outdoor winter conditions.

You will be hands-on, department-wide capable, and ready to delegate while maintaining high standards. Previous supervisory experience and great people skills are essential for creating a fun, safe environment for guests and staff alike.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and support the Light Trail team.

• Maintain high standards throughout the experience.
• Act as Duty Manager for the Light Trail when the Manager is off.

This Christmas, our Light Trail will transform Mission Out at Tingley Garden Centre into a glowing wonderland of light, colour and festive magic.

Families will wander through dazzling displays, interactive moments and plenty of Christmas sparkle, with guests on selected dates also starting their experience with a magical visit to Santa before heading out onto the trail.

We’re looking for a brilliant Light Trail Supervisor to help us bring it all to life.

What you’ll be doing

This isn’t a role where you’ll be watching the Christmas magic from the sidelines. You’ll be right in the middle of it!

Working alongside our Light Trail Manager, you’ll help lead our seasonal team and make sure every evening runs smoothly. You’ll:

• Lead, motivate and support the Light Trail team
• Help make sure every customer receives a warm, friendly and memorable welcome
• Keep the team organised and the experience running smoothly throughout each session
• Be a visible, hands-on supervisor who is happy to jump in wherever needed
• Deal confidently with customer queries and any issues that crop up
• Help maintain high standards throughout the experience
• Step up as Duty Manager for the Light Trail when the Light Trail Manager is off

A little word about the weather...

It’s Christmas. It’s Yorkshire. And it’s an outdoor Light Trail!

That means you’ll need to be comfortable working outside in typical British winter weather. Whether it’s crisp and frosty or a little bit wet and wild, you’ll be there keeping the team motivated and the Christmas spirit going.

• Is happy working outdoors throughout the winter
• Can help create a fun, positive atmosphere for both our customers and our team

Previous supervisory or team-leading experience is essential for this role. When the Light Trail Manager is off, you’ll be the person leading the experience, so we’re looking for someone who is confident taking charge, calm under pressure and comfortable making decisions when needed. You’ll also need great people skills, plenty of energy and a hands-on, can-do attitude.
