Job summary

Bents is seeking cheerful Christmas Event Colleagues to welcome visitors, guide them along the illuminated trail, manage queues and host the fire pit, warming drinks and festive treats while creating memorable moments.

You'll work 3–4 evenings per week across Mon–Sun, with shifts from 3:30pm/4:00pm to 9:00/9:30pm. Key dates: Assessment Centre 2 November 2026, Training 19 November, Start 20 November, End 30 December 2026; some Sundays may require extra shift.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming visitors with a warm smile and checking them into the experience.
• Guiding visitors along the illuminated trail and highlighting highlights.
• Managing queues and ensuring smooth visitor flow throughout the event.
• Hosting fire pit areas and helping visitors toast marshmallows.
• Preparing and serving warming drinks and festive sweet treats.
• Engaging with visitors to create memorable moments and a sense of belonging.

This Christmas, our Hidden Garden will be transformed into an enchanting wonderland inspired by The Magic Lamp – and we’re looking for energetic, friendly an enthusiastic Even Colleagues to help bring the experience to life!

Imagine spending your evenings surrounded by twinkling lights, festive excitement and the joy of visitors discovering something truly special.

As part of our Hidden Garden Light Walk team, you'll play a key role in creating magical moments and wonderful memories for everyone who visits.

What will you be doing?

No two evenings will be quite the same!

You’ll be part of the team bringing our special Christmas event to life, helping ensure every visitor enjoys a warm welcome and a memorable experience.

Your role will include:

• Welcoming visitors – greeting guests with a smile and checking them into the experience.
• Guiding the way – helping visitors navigate the illuminated trail and discover the magic around every corner.
• Keeping things running smoothly – managing queues and supporting the flow of visitors throughout the event.
• Creating cosy Christmas moments – hosting our fire pit areas and helping visitors enjoy marshmallow toasting.
• Serving festive favourites – preparing and serving warming drinks and delicious sweet treats.
• Making memories – answering questions, engaging with visitors and helping everyone feel part of the magic.

Shifts & Availability for our Christmas Event Colleague-

• Fixed shift patterns working 3-4 evenings across: Monday to Sunday, 3:30pm/4:00pm to 9:00/9:30pm – please choose the shift patterns you can work on the application page.

• Please be available for the following key dates:
  • Assessment Centre: Monday 2nd November 2026 – 4.00pm – 19.30pm
  • Training Evening: Thursday 19th November 2026, 4:00pm – 8:00pm
  • Start Date: Friday 20th November 2026
  • End Date: Wednesday 30th December 2026
  • Extra shifts:Successful candidates will be required to work Sunday 13th, Sunday 20th and Sunday 27th in additon to their rota pattern.

• Hourly Pay meets National Minimum and Living Wage.
