Job summary

Rubax Lifts Limited is seeking a Service and Callout Engineer in the East Midlands region. The role focuses on routine servicing, fault diagnosis, and safe operation of lift equipment across installations, with a strong emphasis on compliance and customer service.

Ideal candidates will hold NVQ Level 3 in lift maintenance (or equivalent), demonstrate advanced electrical/mechanical knowledge, and hold a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 3 minimum in lift maintenance or equivalent.
• Advanced electrical and mechanical knowledge, including multi-brand equipment.
• Advanced problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently with a flexible approach.
• Proven fault finding and diagnostic skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing of lift equipment, including minor repair work and replacement of components as per procedures.
• Rectify and reduce faults on lift equipment during breakdowns and check to confirm correct functioning.
• Check speed, motor start/stop, noise, temperature and power supply using approved tooling.
• Carry out routine installation inspections and reinstate lifts, complete service documentation.
• Fault finding and diagnostic procedures using various techniques and test equipment to restore service.
• Use written or graphical information effectively.
