Job summary

LÖDIGE Industries seeks a time-served engineer for field service in Newcastle with routine UK travel. You will perform maintenance, repairs and fault finding on lift systems and report findings via the Service Management system.

Essentially you will read electrical and mechanical drawings, prioritise work with the Service Co-ordinator, and communicate clearly. On-call duties and driving are required; NVQ3 Lift Engineering or J5/J25 modules are expected.

Qualifications

• Time served engineer with J5/J25 modules or NVQ3 Lift Engineering.
• NVQ3 in Lift Engineering or equivalent qualifications.
• Relevant engineering qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled maintenance visits, repairs and breakdowns as instructed.
• Read and understand electrical, mechanical drawings.
• Maintain good communication with customers and the office.
• Work from own initiative with minimum supervision.
• Participate in on-call rota and travel as required.
• Operate the Service Management system using a smartphone.

Job description

Duties to include, but not limited to:

• Carry out scheduled maintenance visits, repairs and breakdowns as instructed

• To carry out all work in accordance with company procedures, standards, safety policies and time frames

• Maintain good communication with customers and the office

• Performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein. This is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities and duties required

  Essential Requirement's (mandatory):

• Able to read and understand electrical, mechanical drawings

• Problem/fault finding capability

• To prioritise and plan work schedule in advance with Service Co-ordinator

• Communicate precisely both in writing and verbally

• Work from own initiative with minimum supervision

• Work as a team member as required on multi-person activities

• Maintain smart appearance

• Participate in on-call rota

• Work overtime & travel as and when business requires

• Maintain a full clean driving license

• Operate company Service Management system using smart phone to report attendance; site surveys and equipment information
