Job summary

Marmon Lift Recruitment Ltd. is seeking an experienced Lift Service Engineer to service and maintain passenger and goods lifts across a London route.

The role offers a van-based or London walking route, with standby rota options and travel across the allocated route. NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering or equivalent is preferred, along with a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Strong experience servicing and maintaining passenger and goods lifts.
• Excellent fault-finding in mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to work on either van-based or walking route with independence.

Responsibilities

• Service and maintain passenger and goods lifts across an allocated London route.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance per procedures and manufacturers' recommendations.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and complete minor repairs.
• Attend breakdowns and call-outs as required.
• Participate in a standby rota if agreed as part of the package.
• Travel across the allocated route as required.
• Maintain clear service records and customer documentation.
• Liaise professionally with customers, site contacts and the engineering team.
• Ensure compliance with lift regulations and health and safety requirements.

Lift Service Engineer

Wembley, North West London

Basic Salary: £50,000 - £55,000.

• Company vehicle for van-based engineers, 25 days' annual holiday plus bank holidays, pension and ongoing technical training.

Route Options: Van-based route or Central London walking route.

Commutable from: London, Wembley, Harrow, Ealing, Greenford, Southall, Northolt, Hayes, Hounslow, Pinner, Twickenham, Slough, Staines-upon-thames, and surrounded areas.

Marmon Lift Recruitment is seeking an experienced Lift Service Engineer to join an established independent lift company covering London. The successful candidate can undertake either a van-based service route or a London walking route, depending on their location and preference. The position offers flexibility regarding standby participation, which can be negotiated during the application process. Alongside planned servicing, the Lift Service Engineer will diagnose faults, complete minor repairs and ensure all lifts remain safe, reliable and compliant.

The Lift Service Engineer Role

• Service and maintain passenger and goods lifts across an allocated London route.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance in accordance with company procedures and manufacturers' recommendations.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and complete minor repairs.
• Attend breakdowns and call-outs where required.
• Participate in a standby rota if agreed as part of the employment package.
• Test lift equipment and ensure units remain safe, reliable and compliant.
• Identify components requiring repair or replacement and report recommendations accurately.
• Maintain clear service records, job sheets and customer documentation.
• Liaise professionally with customers, site contacts and the wider engineering team.
• Ensure all work complies with relevant lift regulations and health and safety requirements.
• Travel across the allocated route as required.

Ideal Lift Service Engineer Candidate

• Strong experience servicing and maintaining passenger and goods lifts.
• NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
• Experience completing minor lift repairs.
• Good knowledge of lift regulations and health and safety requirements.
• Reliable, safety-conscious and capable of managing an independent service route.
• Comfortable working on either a van-based or London walking route.
• Standby participation can be discussed and negotiated.
• Full UK driving licence required for van-based routes.
