Job summary

Otis is seeking a Lift Service Engineer to join our on-site team in Reading and ensure the safe operation of a portfolio of lifts. You will perform routine service checks, report findings to the field manager, and be the face of the business to clients.

You will respond to breakdowns, carry out minor repairs, and work with market-leading technology. The role offers overtime and comprehensive training, with safety as a top priority.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in lift service, maintenance or repair is required.
• Driver's license required.
• At least 24 months of experience in the elevator sector.
• Strong knowledge of electricity and electrical engineering.
• Safety-focused professional, able to work alone or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine service checks on a portfolio of lifts across the site, documenting findings and escalating as needed.
• Interacting with clients and providing updates on work performed.
• Respond to breakdowns and work with passengers and clients to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Carry out minor repairs to lift systems.

Otis is growing and is looking for a maintenance mechanic for one of our entities. You will ensure the safety of passengers by safely maintaining a portfolio of lifts

On a typical day you will:

• Perform routine service checks on a number of units across the site, recording and escalating your findings to the field manager.
• Be the face of the business, often providing updates to clients around work carried out.
• React to sudden breakdowns, working with both passengers and the client to provide a technical solution to breakdown issues.
• Perform minor repairs.

What you will need to be successful.

• Hold an NVQ level 3 in lift service, maintenance, or repair.
• Hold a drivers license.
• You have at least 24 months of experience in the elevator sector.
• You have good skills in electricity and electrical engineering
