Job summary

Otis is looking for a Lift Service Engineer to maintain and service lifts and escalators in the Norwich area, ensuring passenger safety and reliable operation within the territory. You will perform planned maintenance visits and respond to faults with a focus on first-time fixes.

Day shifts Mon-Fri with overtime opportunities. Applicants should hold an NVQ Level 3 in service/maintenance, a valid driver’s license, and be able to work independently or in a team in a safety-first environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in service, maintenance or repair is required.
• Ability to operate safely around lifts and escalators.
• Good communication when on site and with customers.

Responsibilities

• Carry out 100% of elevator maintenance and service visits within territory.
• Manage portfolio of elevators in defined geographic area.
• Respond quickly to breakdowns with aim of first-time fix.
• Carry out minor repairs to maintain operation.
• Liaise with customers on site to build a good working relationship.

Lift Service Engineer

Location: Norwich, Norfolk region

Role Overview

Otis is growing and is looking for a Lift Service Engineer for our entities in the Norfolk region. You will ensure the safety of passengers by safely maintaining a portfolio of lifts and escalator units.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out 100% of the elevator maintenance and service visits of the units within your territory.
• Work within your defined geographical area / territory, managing the portfolio of elevators within it.
• Respond proactively and quickly to fix any breakdowns, aiming to achieve first time fix.
• Carry out minor repairs to achieve continual operation.
• Liaise directly with the customer while on site to build a good working relationship.

Qualifications and Experience

• Hold an NVQ level 3 in service, maintenance, or repair.
• Hold a driver’s licence and be within a 1 hour commute of Norfolk / Norwich.
• Have at least 24 months of experience in the elevator sector.
• Have good skills in electricity and electrical engineering.
• Be a committed professional, with safety as your priority.
• Be comfortable communicating to others.
• Be curious, adaptable, and able to work alone or in a team.
• Be comfortable using electronic and digital tools.
