Job summary

Otis is seeking a maintenance mechanic to ensure passenger safety by maintaining a portfolio of lifts and escalator units on site. You will perform routine service checks, record findings, and update the field manager.

On-site work with key clients, responding to breakdowns with practical, safe solutions, and performing minor repairs. NVQ Level 3 in lift service/maintenance, a driving licence, and 2+ years elevator experience are required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in lift service, maintenance, or repair.
• Valid driving licence.
• Minimum 24 months experience in the elevator sector.
• Strong electrical engineering skills.
• Safety-focused professional.
• Able to communicate effectively with clients and teams.
• Curious, adaptable and able to work alone or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine service checks across units on site and record findings for the field manager.

Job description

Otis is growing and is looking for a maintenance mechanic for one of our entities. You will ensure the safety of passengers by safely maintaining a portfolio of lifts and escalator units. On a typical day you will:

• Perform routine service checks on a number of units across the site, recording and escalating your findings to the field manager.
• Be the face of the business, often providing updates to clients around work carried out.
• React to sudden breakdowns, working with both passengers and the client to provide a technical solution to breakdown issues.
• Perform minor repairs.
• Hold an NVQ level 3 in lift service, maintenance, or repair.
• Hold a drivers license.
• You have at least 24 months of experience in the elevator sector.
• You have good skills in electricity and electrical engineering
• You are a committed professional, with safety as your priority
• You are comfortable communicating to others
• You are curious, adaptable, and you know how to work alone or in a team
• You are comfortable using electronic and digital tools.
