Job summary

TK Elevator in London is seeking a motivated Lift Modernisation Trainee to join the London & South division, based in London. You will gain hands-on experience delivering lift modernisation projects, supported by training to progress toward an NVQ qualification and a long-term engineering career.

Working with experienced Modernisation Engineers, you will assist with projects, learn fault diagnosis, and contribute to safe, efficient lift operations across the region while developing new technical

Qualifications

• At least 2 years’ experience within the lift industry, ideally modernisation, and a goal to obtain an NVQ in Lift Engineering.
• Must have EOR202 qualification and a full UK driving licence, plus willingness to travel across the region.
• Proactive, safety‑minded and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist lift modernisation and upgrade projects across the region.
• Support installation, repair, and replacement of lift components.
• Work with qualified engineers to complete projects safely and efficiently.
• Carry out safety checks and follow health and safety procedures.
• Learn to diagnose faults and resolve technical issues with supervision.
• Plan workload and manage tasks with support from a supervisor.
• Maintain stock levels and order materials through supply chains.
• Attend training and progress toward NVQ qualification.
