Job summary

Owen Daniels in Norwich is seeking a Lift Engineer to perform planned maintenance, fault diagnosis and repairs across a range of lifts and stairlifts. The role is permanent with hours 8:00–16:45 Monday to Thursday, Friday 8:00–15:45, and includes on-call standby duties.

You will respond to breakdowns, update site records and travel as required with a company vehicle provided; NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering or equivalent and a full UK driving licence are essential.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Demonstrable experience as Lift Engineer, with servicing and repairs.
• Strong knowledge of lift systems and safety standards.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned maintenance, fault diagnosis and repairs on lifts and stairlifts.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns and call-outs to minimise downtime.
• Update site records and log cards after works and inspections.
• Participate in on-call rota, including standby duties and emergency call-outs.

Job Description

• Carry out planned maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repairs across a variety of lifts and stairlifts
• Respond promptly to breakdowns and call-out requests, ensuring minimal downtime for customers
• Complete thorough risk assessments and accurately update site records and log cards
• Take part in the on-call rota, including standby duties and emergency call-outs

Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering (or an equivalent recognised qualification)
• Demonstrable experience working as a Lift Engineer, including servicing and repairs
• Strong knowledge of lift systems, safety standards, and industry best practices
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
