Job summary

Our client in Greater Manchester is seeking skilled Lift Engineer / Lift Technician to service, inspect and rectify passenger and goods lifts. Role includes fault finding, site reporting and senior technical input across installations and refurbishments.

Candidates should have NVQ Level 3 (or Level 4) in Lift Engineering, a full UK driving licence and be prepared for a 38.75-hour week with a 1-in-4 call-out rota. Salary ranges from £35,000 to £55,000 depending on experience.

Qualifications

  • Experience with passenger and goods lifts in a lift engineer or lift technician role.
  • Qualified to a minimum of NVQ Level 3 (or Level 4) in Lift Engineering or equivalent.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

  • Servicing, maintaining and responding to call-outs on passenger and goods lifts.
  • Fault-finding, repairs, refurbishment and testing to current standards and regulations.
  • Providing senior-level technical expertise, assessments and reporting on faults, processes and costs.
  • Monitoring site safety, quality, compliance and the performance of field engineers and subcontractors.
  • Managing site technical queries and liaising with clients.
  • Conducting site surveys and producing dilapidation and technical reports.
  • Assisting with commissioning refurbished lifts.

Lift Engineer / Lift Technician

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £35,000 – £55,000 per annum, dependent on experience and level (Service & Call Out from £35,000–£40,000; more for engineers who can also carry out repairs, testing and installations)

Hours: 38.75 per week, Monday to Friday, 8:15am–5:00pm, plus a 1-in-4 call-out rota

Location: Greater Manchester / North West

What You’ll Do

Depending on your level and experience, this could include:

What You’ll Need
  • Experience with passenger and goods lifts in a lift engineer or lift technician role – service, call-out, repairs or technician level all considered
  • Qualified to a minimum of NVQ Level 3 (or working towards / Level 4) in Lift Engineering or equivalent
  • Full UK driving licence
