Job summary

Marmon Lift Recruitment is seeking an experienced Lift Installation Engineer to join a well-established lift and escalator company covering Liverpool and the wider North West. You will install and commission new lift equipment, ensuring strict safety and regulatory compliance, and travel to multiple site projects across the region.

The role offers two salary structures: a higher fixed salary or a base salary with travel and overtime, with opportunities for ongoing technical training and career

Qualifications

• Strong experience installing passenger and goods lifts.
• NVQ Level 3 in Lift Installation or equivalent.
• Confident reading technical drawings, wiring diagrams and installation specifications.
• Capable of working independently and as part of a project team.

Responsibilities

• Install new passenger and goods lift equipment.
• Complete mechanical and electrical installation work to a high standard.
• Read and work accurately from technical drawings, wiring diagrams and installation specifications.
• Carry out testing, adjustments and commissioning support before handover.
• Identify and resolve electrical and mechanical installation issues.
• Ensure all work complies with relevant lift regulations, safety standards and company procedures.
• Liaise with project managers, site teams, subcontractors and other engineers.
• Complete installation records, site documentation and progress reports accurately.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, organisation and site safety.
• Travel to installation projects throughout the North West and occasionally beyond.

Salary Options:

• £70,000-£75,000, depending on experience, for staff engineers with no additional travel or overtime payments; or
• £55,000 basic salary, plus travel and overtime payments.

Benefits: 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays, and full Bupa private healthcare for the employee and their immediate family. 25 days' annual holiday plus bank holidays. Ongoing technical training.

Commutable from: Liverpool, Warrington, Widnes, Runcorn, Chester, Southport, Northwich, Crewe, Macclesfield, Bolton, Manchester, Stockport, and surrounding areas.

Ideal Lift Installation Engineer Candidate

• Good knowledge of lift regulations, health and safety requirements and industry standards.
• Capable of working independently and as part of a project team.
• Safety-conscious, reliable and committed to producing high-quality work.
• Willingness to travel when projects require.
• Full UK driving licence.
