Job summary

Marmon Lift Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Lift Engineer to join a well-established independent lift company operating across Essex, London and the South East. The role focuses on repair work within a dedicated repairs department, backed by strong technical support and a reputation for quality workmanship.

The successful candidate should have NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering or equivalent, proven repair experience on a range of lift systems, and a full UK driving licence for site

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or above in Lift Engineering or equivalent.
• Proven experience repairing lifts across a variety of equipment.
• Full UK Driving Licence is essential for site work.
• Ability to diagnose faults and determine repair solutions efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive repair work across passenger and goods lifts.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults and complete repairs.
• Carry out repairs arising from LOLER examinations and equipment defects.
• Replace and repair lift components including motors, gearboxes and controllers.
• Perform larger repair and refurbishment works while ensuring reliable operation.
• Ensure all work complies with current lift regulations and company procedures.
• Document repairs accurately and provide updates and recommendations.
• Work independently across London with strong support from repairs management and technical team.

Marmon Lift Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Lift Repair Engineer to join a well-established and highly respected independent lift company operating throughout Essex, London and the South East.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Lift Repair Engineer looking to focus exclusively on repair work, joining a business with a dedicated in-house repairs department, strong technical support and an excellent reputation for quality workmanship.

The Lift Engineer Role

• Carry out planned and reactive repair work across a range of passenger and goods lifts.
• Diagnose complex mechanical and electrical faults and complete repairs efficiently and safely.
• Complete repairs arising from LOLER examinations, breakdowns, component wear and equipment defects.
• Replace and repair lift components including motors, gearboxes, ropes, door operators, controllers and associated equipment.
• Carry out larger repair and refurbishment works while ensuring lifts are returned to reliable operation.
• Ensure all repair work is completed in accordance with current lift regulations, safety standards and company procedures.
• Complete repair documentation accurately and provide clear updates on works completed and any further recommendations.
• Work independently across London with full support from an experienced repairs management and technical team.

Ideal Lift Engineer Candidate

• Currently working as a Lift Repair Engineer, Lift Modernisation Engineer, Lift Installation Engineer or an experienced Lift Engineer with strong repair experience.
• Qualified to NVQ Level 3 or above (or equivalent) in Lift Engineering.
• Proven experience completing major and minor repairs across a variety of lift equipment.
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding abilities.
• Confident working on a range of manufacturers and lift systems.
• Able to work independently, diagnose problems and determine the correct repair solution.
• Strong communication skills and a professional approach when working on customer sites.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
