Job summary

Marmon Lift Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Lift Service Engineer to manage a defined service route for a large, global lift engineering company. The role covers Hampshire and Surrey, with no work in Central London, and requires NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering and a full UK driving licence.

You will carry out planned servicing, faults diagnosis, and maintain service documentation while benefiting from structured training and clear progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Essential NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering or equivalent.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• Previous lift service/repair experience essential.
• Good knowledge of lift manufacturers and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned servicing, maintenance, and minor repairs on passenger lifts.
• Diagnose faults and aim for first-time fixes where possible.
• Record defects, manage parts, and maintain service records.
• Participate in standby/call-out rota.
• Work on high-security sites; police vetting may be required.
• Ensure safe working practices and regulatory compliance.

Marmon Lift Recruitment is now looking for a Lift Service Engineer to manage a defined, well-maintained lift engineering service route for a large, global lift engineering company. This role covers Hampshire and Surrey, with no work in Central London.

Commutable from: Reading, Bracknell, Basingstoke, Maidenhead, Slough, Woking, Guildford, Aldershot, Farnham, Thatcham, Camberley, and surrounding areas.

The Lift Engineer Role:

• Carry out planned servicing, maintenance, and minor repairs on a range of passenger lifts.
• Diagnose faults efficiently and achieve first-time fixes wherever possible.
• Record defects, manage parts requirements, and maintain accurate service documentation.
• Participate in a fair and structured standby/call-out rota.
• Work on a variety of high-end and security-sensitive sites, where police vetting may be required.
• Work safely, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Ideal Lift Engineer Candidate:

• NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering (or equivalent) - Essential
• Full UK driving licence - Essential
• Previous experience within lift service or repair - Essential
• Good working knowledge of a variety of lift manufacturers and control systems.
• Able to manage a service route across a regional patch.
• Willing and able to undergo a police background check for access to high-security customer sites.
• Live within a commutable distance of Andover and the surrounding area.
