Job summary

Athena Care Homes (UK) Ltd seeks an Activities Coordinator for Avocet Court Care Home in Ipswich. The role supports a residents' activities programme with a focus on meaningful, engaging activities and team collaboration to raise wellbeing.

Working 36 hours per week on a rota basis, you will help residents enjoy purposeful engagement and a person-centred approach within the home environment.

Qualifications

• Experience of organising and scheduling programmes of events or activities, ideally within a healthcare environment.
• Excellent communication skills, with a genuine passion for enhancing residents' lives.
• Knowledge of dementia is highly advantageous.
• Proven track record for leading, empowering, supporting & motivating a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering a meaningful, enjoyable activities programme across the home.
• Champion person-centred care and empower residents to participate in activities.
• Engage with residents in conversation and meaningful occupation respecting dignity.
