Job summary

Ashlynn Grange Care Home in Peterborough is seeking an Activities Coordinator to support a lively activities programme for residents. The role focuses on meaningful engagement, person-centred care and creating memorable experiences at the home.

The position offers a 30-hour week on a rota from Monday to Sunday, with a competitive hourly rate of £12.71. You will work closely with the team to ensure residents enjoy a varied activities calendar and wellbeing is prioritised.

Qualifications

• Experience of organising and scheduling programmes of events or activities, ideally within a healthcare environment.
• Excellent communication skills, with a genuine passion for enhancing the lives of residents.
• Knowledge of dementia is highly advantageous.
• Proven track record for leading, empowering, supporting & motivating a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the delivery of a meaningful, enjoyable, engaging and stimulating activities programme, based on person centred care principles, throughout the home that involves and includes all residents relative to them as individuals.
• Champion person centred care with all team members in the home to ensure residents are empowered to make, or continue to make, Lifestyles choices relevant and appropriate to them
• To actively engage with residents in conversation and meaningful occupation related to their lifestyle choices at a level and pace that values the individual and respects their dignity and communication differences.
