Premier Court Care Home in Bishop's Stortford, part of Bupa, is seeking a Lifestyle and Wellbeing Coordinator. You will design vibrant activity plans, oversee sessions, and work within a set budget to create engaging experiences for residents.

Contract: Permanent – Part Time

Hours: 16 hours per week covering 2 days per week on a rota basis. Will include some weekend working.

Salary: £13.10 per hour

Facility Overview

Premier Court is set in a very peaceful countryside location within Bishop’s Stortford. It provides a full range of residential and nursing care. A modern, purpose-built home, Premier Court has comfortable ensuite single bedrooms and attractive décor. The home features well-furnished lounge areas where residents can relax and socialise, there is also an onsite hair salon and the homes very own tea room for all to enjoy. The home benefits from lots of outside space with courtyard gardens for family and friends to use whenever they come to visit. The home is also wheelchair accessible throughout.

Food & Community

Enjoying food is an important part of life. The chefs create well-crafted menus made with the freshest ingredients. Soon after a resident arrives at the home, staff discuss their personal preferences and dietary needs with them. There’s a real sense of community at Premier Court. The activities calendar includes arts and crafts, music, flower arranging and gardening. Visiting entertainers often perform, and residents can enjoy outings to garden centres, shopping trips or places of interest.

A Lifestyle and Wellbeing Coordinator in our care home is like the chief fun officer. They create a vibrant, joy-filled atmosphere for our residents. They dream up exciting events and hobbies that residents will love. Think arts and crafts, baking, book clubs, and even pub quizzes. They work closely with our residents and care teams to create tailored activity plans. Whether it’s gentle chair-based exercise or a garden party, they’ve got it covered! Coordinators bring people together for laughter, camaraderie, and shared experiences.

Activities aren’t just fun; they’re also therapeutic. From meditation to wellbeing classes, they boost residents’ spirits and well-being.

You’ll help us make health happen by:

• Running morning and afternoon activity sessions.


• Producing and updating an activity planner for the home, working to a set activities budget.


• Organising birthday surprises for our residents.


• Liaising with external companies and performers from the local community to organise days out/events at the home.


• Organising one-to-ones with our residents, this might involve reminiscing tools, puzzles, reading or just a cup of tea and a chat.


• Supporting the home with their social media channels as required.

• You’re a creative thinker with plenty of ideas, who can also manage budgets and maintain paperwork, effectively managing priorities as they arise.
