Bupa’s Premier Court Care Home in Bishop's Stortford is seeking a Receptionist for a part-time role (12 hours per week). You will be the first point of contact for visitors, handle enquiries, and support the Home Manager with general admin.

You will need prior receptionist experience and a friendly, well-organised approach to help residents and their families. This role offers a pro rata salary and opportunities to grow within a supportive care environment.

Location: Premier Court Care Home - Thorley Lane East, Thorley, Bishop's Stortford, CM23 4BH

Contract: Permanent – Part Time

Hours: 12 hours per week, Saturday and Sunday, 10.00am to 4.30pm

Salary: £27,148 per annum (Full-Time Equivalent). Pro rata salary: £8,174.40 per annum.

A modern, purpose-built home, Premier Court has comfortable ensuite single bedrooms and attractive décor. The home features well-furnished lounge areas where residents can relax and socialise, there is also an onsite hair salon and the homes very own tea room for all to enjoy. The home benefits from lots of outside space with courtyard gardens for family and friends to use whenever they come to visit. The home is also wheelchair accessible throughout. Enjoying food is an important part of life. The chefs create well-crafted menus made with the freshest ingredients. Soon after a resident arrives at the home, staff discuss their personal preferences and dietary needs with them. There’s a real sense of community at Premier Court. The activities calendar includes arts and crafts, music, flower arranging and gardening. Visiting entertainers often perform, and residents can enjoy outings to garden centres, shopping trips or places of interest.

• Acting as the first point of contact for all visitors to the home
• Taking responsibility for managing new enquiries
• Providing advice and support both face to face and over the phone
• Conducting show-arounds within the care home
• Supporting the Home Manager and Administrator with clerical duties such as maintaining paperwork and filing
• Dealing with enquiries in a timely manner and ensuring daily and weekly tasks are completed

Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:

You’ve worked as a receptionist before with experience in providing excellent customer service, you'll have a friendly manner both face to face and over the phone. You’re approachable and organised and can build strong relationships with our residents, their families and internal teams. Dedicated and efficient with an ability to handle a varied workload, but importantly, your caring attitude underpins everything you do - to make a real difference to people’s lives.
