Job summary

Center Parcs is hiring a Lifeguard at Sherwood Forest to ensure guest safety and deliver excellent service. You will be tested on swimming skills and must hold NPLQ or RLSS qualifications, with ongoing CPD.

Shifts vary 6:00 am–10:00 pm and include early mornings, weekends, and holidays. DBS check is required prior to start. Opportunities for progression and staff benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Must be a strong swimmer and pass swim test (deep water dive, timed swim, exit without assistance).
• Hold NPLQ or RLSS Pool Lifeguard/NARS qualification with CPD.
• Able to swim 50 metres within 55 seconds.
• Communicate effectively with guests and stay calm under pressure.

Lifeguard - Qualified Sherwood Forest | £13.83 per hour.
Keep guests smiling and safe.

What you'll be doing

• Monitor pool areas, ensuring guest safety and responding to emergencies.
• Provide friendly, professional customer service.
• Maintain cleanliness and uphold health and safety standards.
• Complete NPLQ training and demonstrate rescue and first aid skills.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Strong swimmer and success in a swim test during the interview, including diving into deep water, timed swimming on front and back and exiting the pool without assistance.
• RLSS Pool Lifeguard / NARS Qualification and completed 20-hours of continued professional development.
• Able to swim 50 metres within 55 seconds.
• Communicate effectively with people and stay calm under pressure.
• Friendly, genuine and warm towards guests and colleagues.
• Compliance with a DBS check before starting.

Working Hours

Full‑time and part‑time contracts available. Shifts fall between 6:00am and 10:00pm. You will be contracted to work a guaranteed minimum amount of hours over a four‑week period and may be asked to work additional hours in line with operational requirements. This role includes early mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
