Job summary

Center Parcs group is looking for a qualified Lifeguard in Newark on Trent to ensure a safe and welcoming experience for guests at the Subtropical Swimming Paradise. The role includes monitoring pool areas, responding to emergencies, and delivering exceptional service.

Ideal candidates will possess the RLSS Pool Lifeguard qualification, be strong swimmers, and demonstrate effective communication skills. Full-time and part-time contracts available.

Qualifications

• Must be able to swim 50 meters within 55 seconds.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills are a must.
• Previous experience in a lifeguard role is a plus.

As a Lifeguard in our Subtropical Swimming Paradise, you'll help create a safe and welcoming experience for every guest. You'll uphold the highest health and safety standards while delivering exceptional guest care.

What you’ll be doing

• Monitor pool areas, ensuring guest safety and responding to emergencies
• Provide friendly, professional customer service
• Maintain cleanliness and uphold health and safety standards
• Complete NPLQ training and demonstrate rescue and first aid skills

To be a Lifeguard, you must be a strong swimmer and pass a swim test during the interview, which includes diving into deep water, timed swimming on front and back and exiting the pool without assistance.

Your working hours

• Full‑time and part‑time contracts available, shifts fall between 6:00am and 10:00pm
• You will be contracted to work a guaranteed minimum amount of hours over a 4‑week period. You may be asked to work additional hours in line with operational requirements
• This role includes early mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays

About you

• RLSS Pool Lifeguard / NARS Qualification and completed 20‑hours of continued professional development
• Able to swim 50 metres within 55 seconds
• Communicate effectively with people and stay calm under pressure
• Friendly, genuine and warm towards guests and colleagues
