Job summary

Dumfries and Galloway Council is seeking enthusiastic individuals to work in the Ryan Centre (Stranraer) or The Merrick Leisure Centre (Newton Stewart) on an on-call basis. You will assist in facility operations, provide excellent customer care, and report to the Facility Duty Officer.

Essential is the RLSS National Pool Lifeguard award by start date, with First Aid desirable, and a basic English/Maths background.

Qualifications

• Experience in leisure or sport activities is an advantage.
• RLSS National Pool Lifeguard award is essential by start date.
• Standard Grade English and Maths (or equivalent) is essential.
• Driving licence would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist with and supervise facilities to provide high-quality service.
• Support day-to-day operation and report to the Facility Duty Officer.
• Work predominantly poolside, with duties in other service areas.
• Ensure health and safety practices are observed.
