Job summary

Freedom Leisure is seeking a Lifeguard to help maintain a safe, welcoming pool environment across our centres in England and Wales. You will benefit from training and development opportunities while delivering high-quality customer service and safety supervision to diverse users.

The role offers 37 hours per week on a rota basis, with NPLQ and First Aid requirements. We support flexible working and a friendly team culture focused on health and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• NPLQ qualification or equivalent.
• Enhanced DBS check to be carried out.
• First Aid at Work required.
• Ability to relate to customers of all ages and abilities and to all levels of staff.
• Well developed interpersonal skills.
• Team orientated approach, able to work across organisation boundaries and support staff.

Responsibilities

• Ensure pool safety and lifeguard duties during shifts.
• Provide excellent customer service and assist pool users.
• Support centre operations and communicate safety rules clearly.
• Engage with people from diverse backgrounds and build positive relationships.
• Develop teamwork and lifeguard skills through training and practice.
• Be flexible with shift patterns and follow manager instructions.

Our Lifeguards are an integral part of our team and have gone on to become Swim Teachers, Supervisors and even more, we will support you to develop to reach your potential!

• Team orientated approach, able to work across organisation boundaries and demonstrate interest and be supportive of the work of staff and colleagues
• To be able to work flexibly and understand instructions from managers
• Demonstrated passion and energy for the leisure industry
