Job summary

Freedom Leisure is seeking a Lifeguard to ensure the highest levels of service in our centres. You will help maintain clean, safe facilities and deliver positive customer experiences across a 37-hour weekly rota.

Desirable NPLQ qualification with training available; essential ability to engage customers of all ages and provide excellent service in a lively leisure environment.

Qualifications

• NPLQ qualification is desirable; training can be provided.
• Competent swimmer; swim test will be part of the interview process.
• Ability to relate to customers of all ages and abilities and to staff at all levels.
• Well developed interpersonal skills.
• Team oriented approach; able to work across organisation boundaries.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts as required.

Responsibilities

• In Lifeguard role, ensure friendly, clean and safe facilities for customers.
• Deliver high levels of customer service with a smile.
• Be part of a flexible rota covering 37 hours per week, across days.

In the role of Lifeguard, you will ensure the best levels of service are achieved for our customers through offering a friendly, clean and safe facilities.

Hours: 37 hours a week, Monday to Sunday (rota basis)

• NPLQ qualification (Desirable, training can be provided)
• Competent swimmer – swim test will need to be completed as part of the interview process.
• An ability and understanding of how to relate to customers of all ages and abilities and also to all levels of staff.
• Well developed interpersonal skills.
• Team orientated approach, able to work across organisation boundaries and demonstrate interest and be supportive of the work of staff and colleagues.
• To be able to work flexibly and understand instructions from managers.
• Demonstrated passion and energy for the leisure industry.
