Job summary

Nuffield Health is seeking a Lifeguard (Bank) for Glasgow Giffnock FWC. The role is ad-hoc bank hours with an hourly rate up to £12.84, depending on experience. You will help keep members safe in our pool and wet-side facilities and support a welcoming environment across sessions.

You should hold an NPLQ or equivalent, provide training records, and bring enthusiasm, teamwork and a customer‑focused attitude to the team. Join us and contribute to a safe, healthy, and friendly wellbeing space.

Qualifications

• Must hold a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) or equivalent.
• Willingness to maintain training records and ongoing learning.
• Strong customer care mindset and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Keep members safe and healthy in pool, spa, sauna and steam room areas.
• Remain attentive and alert at all times.
• Create a friendly, relaxed and professional environment.
• Welcome and support members in using facilities.
• Enforce safety guidelines and respond promptly to incidents.
• Ensure Pool Safety Guidelines are followed at all times.

As a Lifeguard, you will:

• Help our members stay safe and healthy when using our wet side facilities – the swimming pool, spa, sauna and steam room
• Be attentive and alert at all times
• Create a friendly, relaxed and professional environment
• Welcome and support members when using the facilities
• Pay close attention to safety and respond to any incidents straight away
• Ensure Pool Safety Guidelines are followed at all times
