Job summary

Parkwood Leisure is seeking a Lifeguard for Garstang Health & Fitness Centre. This is a permanent, part-time role with a salary of £10.85–£12.71 per hour. You’ll patrol wet-side areas, ensure safety, and provide excellent member support in a friendly, welcoming environment.

The role includes full training if needed, and members’ safety is the priority. Parkwood Leisure offers benefits including a free gym membership and pension scheme.

As a Lifeguard at our Centre, a national pool lifeguarding qualification is preferred, however, comprehensive training in all aspects of the role will be provided to successful candidates.

• Help our members stay safe and healthy when using our wet side facilities
• Be attentive and alert at all times
• Create a friendly, relaxed and professional environment
• Welcome and support members when using the facilities
• Pay close attention to safety and respond to any incidents straight away
• Ensure Pool Safety Guidelines are followed at all times
• Excellent communication skills, capable of effective interaction across all levels of the organisation.
