Job summary

Rolls-Royce Submarines in Faslane seeks a Lifecycle Engineer on a 2-year secondment to support NSRP planning and maintenance scheduling. The role collaborates with customers, partners and internal teams to optimise BMPs and NSRP availability.

The position offers hybrid working with office, home, or other remote locations, with attendance required for collaboration as needed. A strong engineering background and stakeholder liaison skills are essential.

As a Lifecycle Engineering Secondee you will be supporting the main objective of the Rainbow Team enabling Rolls-Royce NSRP system expertise and experience to be applied to the planning of upcoming Base Maintenance Periods (BMPs), with the aim of optimising NSRP maintenance.

• Assist with contract development for R-R work conducted in BMPs
• Optimise planning to achieve programme targets
• Generate and Implement R-R inspections and testing regimes
• Driving out waste from programmes and being a brilliant partner to our customer
• Identifying Availability Optimisation opportunities
• Working with the Joint Project Teams (JPTs).

• Good communication skills as need to liaise with Babcock, JPTs, Ships Staff and Rolls-Royce (REO(F) IMRS and Derby Availability Centre).

• An engineering qualification and skill set
• Good interpersonal skills as need to assist IMRS activities on the Site
• Be able to work in dynamic situations as the plans can change in an instant depending in the situation.
• Desire to broaden your knowledge of working with challenging customers and working in a front line operational SM base.

The professional level and salary of the position will be dependent on the skills and experience of the successful candidate but is anticipated to be Staff Grade 6 -10

To work for the Rolls-Royce Submarines Business an individual has to hold a minimum of an Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if the individual does not currently already have this in place.
