Rolls-Royce is seeking a Lifecycle Engineer to join the Civil Safety Centre in Derby, working in a hybrid model with three days in the office. You will lead investigation teams to identify root causes and containment actions for safety issues across the in-service fleet.

The role involves coordinating safety boards, providing technical support, and delivering communications to platforms, regulators and customers while ensuring regulatory compliance and continuous product improvement.

Qualifications

• Engineering or Numerical degree preferred or equivalent with experience.
• Knowledge of components/systems functionality and numerical methods.
• Experience of complex tasks that are novel and ambiguous.
• Familiarity of the in-service operation environment, including regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Experience in troubleshooting and/or problem resolution.
• Experience in support/lead cross-functional teams e.g. specialists, suppliers, customers and partners.
• Good knowledge of AI and digital advancements would be beneficial.

Responsabilités

• Management of known and potential safety issues (SAR & RT) and involvement in safety boards as defined in Safety Management Plan.
• Provide technical support to help resolve safety-related queries and operational arisings.
• Introduce containment actions and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide technical surveillance and quality assurance audits to support product enhancement for customer satisfaction and business expectations.
• Develop and approve the technical content of technical publications/communications for OEM, build/maintenance bases and customers.
• Prepare and deliver technical communications to platform provider, regulators, customers and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal/external stakeholders' technical and business requirements.
• Gather in-service data and drive continuous improvement by identifying Best Practice and Learning from Experience.
