Job summary

EQUANS is hiring a Lifecycle Project Site Supervisor to join the team at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham on a permanent, full-time basis. The role involves managing site delivery of lifecycle works, supervising sub-contractors, and ensuring health and safety compliance during project execution.

You will support the project manager, oversee resources and logistics, and liaise with clients to ensure smooth handovers andquality control.

Qualifications

  • Experience of construction areas and building legislation and projects.
  • Knowledge of building regulations and construction projects.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the site delivery of capital works and lifecycle projects as part of the project delivery team at the QEH
  • Support the project manager to manage site H&S, site management, snagging and handover, including monitoring of Trade Operatives and Sub-Contractors
  • Supervise sub-contractors delivering a wide range of project works
  • Ensure efficient use of resources and plan materials, plant and equipment
  • Manage health & safety on all projects and completion, snagging and handover
  • Manage Quality Control through monitoring and auditing
  • Liaise with the client formally and informally
  • Apply for licences and permits needed to execute works

Equans is looking for a Lifecycle Project Site Supervisor to join our team based at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

What will you deliver?
  • Manage the site delivery of capital works and lifecycle projects as part of the project delivery team at the QEH
  • Supporting the project manager to manage site H&S, site management, snagging and hangover of every project, as required, including the monitoring of a team of Trade Operatives and Sub-Contractors
  • Responsible for the supervision of sub-contractors delivering a wide range of project works
  • Responsible for the efficient use of resources and ensuring that, job planning, appointments, materials, plant and equipment are effectively utilised and continuously improved in accordance with service delivery targets
  • Responsible for the management of health & safety on all projects and the necessary completion, snagging and handover of all projects
  • Manage Quality Control through a structured monitoring process and auditing
  • Liaison with the client on both a formal and informal basis
  • Application for all licences, permits etc. and ensuring they are in place to execute the works correctly

Who are you?
  • Experience of construction areas and relevant knowledge of building legislation and building and construction projects
  • Strong ICT skills
  • Strong people management skills
  • Experience of managing specialist sub-contract supply chains
  • Excellent understanding and adherence to SHEQ practices
  • Up to date relevant knowledge and experience of Health and Safety legislation
  • Microsoft Office or other relevant IT related qualification (Desirable)
  • SSSTS (Desirable)
  • IOSH (Desirable)
  • Driving licence
  • This role includes a DBS Basic check therefore ability to pass is essential
