Peterborough First group is seeking a motivated Licensing Officer to join our regulatory services team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. You will administer licensing regimes, determine licence applications, and apply licensing legislation across disciplines to support compliance.

Based in Peterborough with occasional collaboration with Rutland colleagues, the role offers proactive business advice, inspections, and contribution to improving service delivery while empowering communities.

Qualifications

• Experience in administering a licensing regime across multiple disciplines.
• Ability to determine licence applications and interpret licensing legislation.
• Proactive in providing business advice and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out interventions and low-level enforcement visits.
• Investigate complaints and provide guidance on best practice.
• Support decision-making on licences and contribute to service improvements.
