Job summary

Morson Edge are recruiting for a Licensed Aircraft Engineer to join a leading Aerospace and Defence programme based at RAF Wittering. This permanent role focuses on line and depth maintenance, ensuring safe and compliant release to service of aircraft.

You will work alongside Mechanical and Avionic Engineers, leading technicians and inspectors while upholding regulatory standards and company procedures. BPSS/CTC clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of MOD engineering procedures and documentation.
• Previous supervisory experience within a civil or military aviation environment.
• Strong aircraft engineering and maintenance knowledge.
• Ability to lead and support engineering personnel.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out aircraft line and depth maintenance in accordance with regulatory and company requirements.
• Support the generation and release to service of aircraft.
• Lead and support technicians and inspectors during maintenance activities.
• Conduct fault diagnosis and technical problem-solving.
• Ensure engineering activities comply with legislation, procedures and customer requirements.
• Work closely with the Site Operations Manager and wider engineering team to maintain operational output.
• Maintain high standards of safety, quality and workmanship.

Working Pattern: Full-time 40 hours per week 4-on, 4-off shift pattern

The Opportunity

Morson Edge are recruiting for a Licensed Aircraft Engineer to join a leading Aerospace and Defence programme based at RAF Wittering.

This is an excellent permanent opportunity for an experienced Licensed Aircraft Engineer to carry out aircraft engineering, line and depth maintenance, supporting the safe and efficient generation and release to service of aircraft.

Working alongside Mechanical and Avionic Engineers, you'll play an important role in maintaining aircraft to the required regulatory, safety and customer standards.

• Type Rating on Grob 115E aircraft and Lycoming 360 engines – desirable
• Security Clearance

Candidates must be able to achieve and maintain BPSS and Counter Terrorist Check (CTC) security clearance for this role.
