Morson Edge is recruiting for a Licensed Aircraft Engineer (B1) at MOD Boscombe Down, near Salisbury. The role is permanent, full-time (40 hours) with a salary of £46,906.01 plus excellent benefits.

You will be part of a skilled aviation engineering team in a dynamic military environment, performing line and depth maintenance, certifying Release to Service, and leading technicians while upholding high safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• EASA Part 66 B1 Licence is required.
• Experience in civil or military aviation maintenance.
• Supervisory or team leadership experience a must.
• Knowledge of composite materials and MOD engineering procedures is desirable.
• Full UK Driving Licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out line and depth maintenance on aircraft.
• Certifying aircraft for Release to Service in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Providing technical guidance and support to technicians and inspectors.
• Working closely with engineering teams and customer representatives to resolve technical issues.
• Completing all maintenance documentation accurately and ensuring compliance with engineering procedures.
• Promoting a strong safety culture and maintaining exceptional quality standards.

The Role

As a Licensed Aircraft Engineer, you will work alongside mechanical and avionic specialists to ensure aircraft are maintained to the highest engineering and safety standards. Key responsibilities include:Carrying out line and depth maintenance on aircraft. Certifying aircraft for Release to Service in accordance with regulatory requirements. What We're Looking For

Essential:

• EASA Part 66 B1 Licence.
• Experience within a civil or military aviation maintenance environment.
• Supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Strong technical problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of composite materials and MOD engineering procedures.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable:

• Type Rating on Grob 115E aircraft.
• Experience with Lycoming 360 engines.
