Job summary

Birmingham Newman University is seeking a Library Technical and Digital Support Assistant to support day-to-day library technical services and digital systems. You will assist with acquisitions, circulation support, income reconciliation, stock management, scanning services, inter-library loans and statistics collection, working across functions with your own areas of responsibility.

This is an exciting opportunity for you to join the successful and highly regarded library service at Birmingham Newman University as a Library Technical and Digital Support Assistant, supporting the day-to-day delivery of library technical services and digital systems. Working as part of a small team, you will help ensure that students, staff and other library users are able to access and use print and electronic resources effectively.

You will be trained to undertake a range of duties in key areas of Library operations, such as acquisitions of books, journals and e-resources, circulation support, income reconciliation, stock management, scanning services, inter-library loans and collating and recording statistics. You will work across all functions supported by the team, but will have your own specific area(s) of responsibility and act as a point of contact for colleagues across the Library.
