Job summary

Logical Personnel Solutions is seeking a skilled Van Technician / Vehicle Technician to join a busy workshop in Central Birmingham. You will service, maintain, diagnose and repair light commercial vehicles, working Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays.

The role requires NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, strong diagnostic skills, and a full UK driving licence. MOT testing may be required for qualified candidates, with ongoing training provided.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent.
• Proven experience as Vehicle Technician, Van Technician or Service Technician.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• MOT Tester qualification preferred but not essential.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out routine servicing and maintenance on vans and light commercial vehicles.
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults.
• Performing vehicle inspections and identifying defects.
• Completing repairs to manufacturer and company standards.
• Carrying out MOT preparation and MOT testing (where qualified).
• Ensuring all workshop paperwork is completed accurately.
• Maintaining a safe and organised work environment.

Van Technician / Vehicle Technician

Location: Birmingham (Central)
Salary: £18.00 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 47.5 hours per week
Working Hours: 10-hour shifts between 06:00 and 18:30

We are currently recruiting for a skilled Vehicle Technician / Van Technician to join a busy workshop in Central Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technician to work within a professional environment, carrying out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on light commercial vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out routine servicing and maintenance on vans and light commercial vehicles.
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults.
• Performing vehicle inspections and identifying defects.
• Completing repairs to manufacturer and company standards.
