Job summary

South Cambridgeshire District Council is recruiting an LGV Sweeper Driver to join our Street Cleaning Services team. You will operate LGV sweepers to deliver clean streets safely and efficiently. Daily vehicle checks, reporting issues via the in-cab tablet, CPC training and licenses paid, and uniform provided are included.

The role offers a four-day week, a progressive pension scheme, and no nights away. Hours are 05:45 to 14:15, Monday to Friday with a fixed day off; 20 days annual leave

Qualifications

• Full and clean driving licence (Class 2 / Category C)
• Up-to-date Driver CPC certificate
• Ability to perform daily vehicle checks and safe driving on predetermined routes

Responsibilities

• Operate LGV sweepers and precinct sweepers to clean streets
• Drive routes and tip at designated disposal points
• Use in-cab tablet to report issues and maintain records
• Ensure work is completed safely and to guidelines
