Interaction Recruitment is seeking a Class 2 Sweeper Driver for a temporary 8‑week booking south of Cambridgeshire. The role involves operating Swingo and Scarab sweepers to clean public roads and performing light manual duties. ASAP start, with extension possible based on performance and needs.

The position requires a valid Class 2 HGV licence, Driver CPC, Tachograph cards, and proven Class 2 driving experience. A reliable, hands‑on approach is essential.

Responsibilities

• Familiarise with routes, locations and team procedures for efficient operation.

Class 2 Sweeper Driver

Location: South of Cambridgeshire

Pay: £16.08 per hour (£31,036 per annum equivalent)

Hours: 05:45 - 14:15, including a 30-minute break

Contract: Temporary - 8-week booking initially

Start Date: ASAP

Interaction Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Class 2 Driver to join a local council team in the south of Cambridgeshire.

The role involves operating small Swingo and larger Scarab road sweepers to maintain clean and safe public roads. Duties will also include using hand tools, such as hoes and brooms, to loosen debris and clearing blockages from the suction box and machinery when required.

The initial booking is for 8 weeks, with the potential for extension. An ASAP start is preferred to allow time to familiarise yourself with the routes, locations and team procedures.

Essential Requirements

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV licence.
• Valid Driver CPC and Tachograph cards.
• Proven experience driving Class 2 vehicles.
• A reliable, hands-on approach and willingness to undertake manual duties.
