Job summary

Ocado Logistics is seeking an experienced LGV Instructor for a full-time role with a 4-day week. You will train and mentor qualified LGV drivers both in the classroom and on the road, ensuring they stay safe, upskilled and compliant.

Based in Purfleet with travel to other sites, you'll lead inductions, CPC courses and driver upskilling, while coaching drivers to improve performance and safety. A full clean license and 3+ years of LGV Class 1 experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Full Clean Driving License (preferable)
• Minimum 3 years LGV Class 1 experience
• NRI or NVDIR qualification desirable
• Up to date knowledge of highway code and traffic regulations
• Knowledge of LGV technology and basic maintenance
• Experience delivering classroom presentations
• Experience developing driver behaviour and attitude

Responsibilities

• Train and mentor qualified LGV drivers in classroom and on-road settings
• Lead inductions, CPC courses and driver upskilling projects
• Provide hands-on coaching and on-site training with autonomy
• Improve service levels, driver performance and road-safety
• Ensure compliance with health and safety objectives across the business
